Cooking Equipment Fire Damage

Do NOT leave pots and pan unattended when you are cooking on a stove.

Have you ever walked away from something cooking on the stove?

We are here to tell you, PLEASE, do not do that.

When cooking on a stove there are a variety of factors that can go wrong. We do not realize how distracted we can get with day to day tasks, children, pets, spouses, that we walk away from a pot or pan that is actively cooking.

Pots and pans can overheat and cause a fire  if the person cooking gets distracted and leaves cooking unattended. Always stay in the room, or ask someone to watch your food, or just turn it off.

If you think you are going to be distracted when you are cooking, just do not cook. Wait until later, when you have more time and you will not be distracted by life's other tasks.

This is a common occurrence we see here at SERVPRO® of Madison, Rockcastle, Garrard, & Lincoln Counties. We want you to keep your home and family safe.
