What to do after a Storm?

4/30/2019 (Permalink)

After a storm occurs, it is time to assess the damages. It is not always fun to venture outside after the storm and see what the storm left in its wake, but the longer you wait to assess the damages the more costly they can become for you.

When storm damage occurs it can cause lightening, flood, hail, or wind damages.

The best process to take is to write down all of the damages that occurred and to take photos for your insurance company.

You want to make sure that you have before photos for some of the areas that had destruction, so the insurance company can compare the damages.

Storm damage can happen to anyone, as storms are unpredictable by nature, and pop up without notice at times. Make sure to have a plan and a list of assets so that if a storm damage does occur, and it's covered by insurance, you will be able to get your home back in order in no time.
